This is a reminder that there is no team dinner/pep rally this Friday night.
Instead we will be having a team picnic after Saturday's meet starting at 2pm. So, please join us on Saturday afternoon for our "All-American" themed picnic to celebrate our season and to say good-bye to our graduating seniors who will be swimming in their last home meet in the morning.
The team picnic had been a long-standing tradition at GP, but we did not have it the past few years. In fact, for several years, the team picnic served as our team banquet. That is no longer the case (info on the team banquet will be coming out soon), but many asked for return of the picnic. It's a great way to celebrate our season.
For those who are new to the team, Saturday is senior day. At the swim meet, during the break between butterfly and the free relays, all graduating seniors are called to the starting blocks and speeches are read. It's a great tradition and tribute to our long-time Frogs.
