Frogs, Families and Friends,
Thanks to all who came out today for the "Swim for Nick" fundraiser. We raised over $3500 and everyone had a really good time for a great cause. This was excellent start to a new GP tradition.
This is the final week of the dual meet season. Very important - this week our B meet is on Tuesday and we are now swimming at Wexford Leas. Details on the meet can be found below.

Winter Swimming
Our season is almost over for the summer. It's not too early to start thinking about winter swimming. We are hoping that many of you will consider swimming through the winter. Even if you can commit to at least two days a week you will see drastic improvement next summer. There are many options available to our swimmers. As a team we do not endorse one particular program. Instead we share all available information from each of the clubs. Please see the attached note from Kim Morris which outlines local winter swim options.

B Meet vs. Wexford Leas Whales - AWAY

There is NO team caravan (too difficult with parents working, etc.).

Parent volunteer list is also attached, but would be great to see turnout like our first B meet where older Frogs did all of the timing! Thank you!!!
Team Barbecue Dinner - Pep Rally

Our last pep rally! We are asking for $10 per family to help defray the costs of hamburgers, hotdogs, cheese, rolls and condiments. We need a good headcount no later than 10:30 am on Friday. Whether you like to cook or eat, you can be part of this tasty team fundraiser for the swim team. Everyone can participate - we are looking for cooks, tasters and judges. See attached flyer for details.
Peach Bowl - aka Gloucester County Swim Championships

Swimmer Entrance Opens 2:15pm
Spectator Doors Open 2:30pm
Spectator Cost: $10 for adults (includes program) and $5 for kids
This is a CASH ONLY event - there is NO ATM on site
Swimmers in the Peach Bowl are selected by the coaches. Swimmers are permitted to swim one individual event (vs. two in our dual meets) and two relays. Coaches will start to share the line-up tomorrow - Monday July 16. Pysch sheets should be available early this week and will be shared as soon as we receive them from the Peach Bowl organizers. For new Frogs/parents, pysch sheets show the seeding of all of the swimmers for each event.
More for new Frogs and parents - this is probably the most exciting and crazy meet of the year. This meet pits many swimmers who know each other against one another for bragging rights as the county champ. It's an indoor meet so it's very loud and VERY, VERY, HOT. Please dress appropriately. You are advised to leave younger siblings (who are not swimming) at home with a baby sitter. Also, if you want to get a good seat you need to line up early. Doors open for spectators at 230pm but people will starting lining up at around 12noon or earlier (I'm not kidding).
ALL FROGS AND FAMILIES (you don't have to be in the Peach Bowl) are invited to celebrate back at the club at approximately 830pm for a pizza party.
