Frogs, Families & Friends,
Yesterday, Greenwood Park sadly lost another man who had a great impact on our club and team for many years. Jeff Malone was a former GP board member, swim team chair, and active swim team parent. For those who didn't know Jeff, he was the kind of guy who filled a room both physically (standing about 6 ft 5) and with his personality. Jeff had a great sense of humor and was a great conversationalist. Jeff was a great "thinker" and was always full of ideas. I had the pleasure of serving on the GP board with Jeff and he was someone you could always count on to come up with a solution to a problem or to present a different way of thinking.
However, to me, I will always think of Jeff, as well as his wife Patty, as the extremely proud and devoted parents of their three great children Erin, Patrick and Bill, who have been GP swimmers, managers and coaches.
Our condolences go out to the entire Malone family.
We will be sharing information about the services for Jeff when they are announced.
