Frogs, Families and Friends,
I am updating the schedule from yesterday to provide one email with upcoming activities. Please note the final two items on the list of activities have due dates: Team Picnic forms/payments are due July 12; and Banquet forms/payments are due July 19. See below for details.
- Tues. July 8 - 11am: GENDER WARS (9-10 and 11-12 age groups)
Gender wars will be on Tuesday, July 8th at 11 am at the pool. Meet on the blacktop! We have competitions organized boys vs. girls. Winning gender will be rewarded in writing the opposing teams practice.
- Wed. July 9: PRACTICE No B Meet Swimmers. With that, 13-4 and 15-18 age groups will swim 7:15-8:45am and 8u, 9-10 and 11-12 (that are not in the B Meet) 8:45-10:00am. However the team picture is on Wednesday. ALL SWIMMERS BE READY FOR THE TEAM PHOTO AT 9:45am. As as soon as the 8:45-10:00am practice ends we will take the team photo. In closing, if you are in the B Meet, you do not have practice but you must be back for the team photo at 9:45am. Individual photos will follow team photos.
- Wed. July 9 - 9:45am: Team Pictures
Be sure to wear your team suit and team T-shirt. The team picture will be taken first and then individuals afterwards.
Forms can be found at the team bulletin board.
- Wed. July 9 - 6:00pm: HOME B-Meet vs. Whitman Square Sea Lyons
All swimmers must report to the pool no later than 4:45pm.
We can use any/all parents to help set up starting at 4:30pm.
The team volunteer assignment list is attached. THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!
(Interesting fact: the first GP swim meet of any kind was a B-meet vs Whitman Square in July 1971. At the time our team practiced in the Lake. Whitman Square also had a lake at the time, but used their pool for practice and was a TriCo B division team.)
- Fri. July 11 - 6:00pm: Italian Pasta Party Pep Rally
This is one of everyone's favorites - don't miss it!

- Sat. July 12 - 9:00am: HOME Meet vs. Tavistock Hills Tidal Wave
Tavistock beat Old Orchard by 20 pts. the first meet of the year - we just beat OO by only 10.
So, we are in store for another for close meet.
The meet sheet and volunteer info will be sent later this week.
- Mon. July 14 ALL DAY - Fund Raiser at JP Whelihans (Wash. Twp.)
Help the team by dining at Whelihans at any time on July 14 and 15% of your bill will go to the Frogs!

- Sat. July 19 - 2pm-6pm: Team Picnic - Luau Theme
Please join us for the annual swim team picnic, a Luau to honor our graduating seniors at the swim club. Registration form is attached and can also be found on bulletin board. Forms and payments are due July 12th.
- Wed. July 30 - 6:30pm - 10:30pm: Team Banquet at Paris Caterers in Blackwood
This is not your typical boring banquet with a rubber chicken dinner. Don't miss it! It's fun way to close season with a great meal and Academy Awards- style presentations. Registration form is attached. All forms and payments are due July 19.
