An important part of the GP swimming season is scoring and officiating our meets. We always need qualified scorers and swimming officials. No previous experience or knowledge of swimming is needed. The Tri-County Swim League will be providing training for new scorers, stroke/turn officials and referee/starters, as well as, refresher training for those previously certified.
If you have an interest in becoming a new scorer or a stroke/turn official, please attend one of the clinics outlined below.
For those previously certified as stroke/turn officials, please remember that you must be re-certified every two years. However, it is useful to go every year to refresh your knowledge/skills. It also gives you flexibility in the event you can't attend the following year.
For those stroke/turn officials who have at least two years experience, you are eligible to become starter/referee. Please consider attending this training because GP now only has two starter/referees (myself and Chuck McAninley).
