GP Swim: Important Info to Start the Season

Frogs, Families and Friends,

There's only about a week to go before the season opens!

Hope to see everyone at the club this weekend to kickoff a great summer - the 53rd season of Bells Lake.

Please see below for some important team info.

Call or text me if you have any questions.

1st Practice is Now Wed. May 30 - see times below

All swimmers should come prepared to do dry land workouts - so wear shorts, t-shirt and sneakers (swim suit underneath).  For new swimmers/parents - the beginning of the season can be chaotic because of the weather (especially this year).  It's simply hard to get in the water if it is too cold or raining.  Please be sure that you are signed up for Remind (text "@greenwoodp" to 856-513-8715) so you can get daily practice updates, cancellations, etc.

3:30-4:45 pm: 13 & Up

4:45-5:45 pm: 9-10 & 11-12

5:45-6:30 pm: 8 & Under

Attention Seniors - Scholarship Opportunity

The Michael Heaney Scholarship Fund is giving away two $1,000 scholarships to one male and one female athlete.  The athletes must be a participant in the Tri County Swim League.  The scholarships are in honor of Michael Heaney, a former swimmer who tragically died as a result of a bicycle accident in 2012.  Applications are due June 15th and scholarships will be awarded at the Tri County Championships in August.  More info and the application can be found at https://www.metersformike.com/scholarship/

Buffalo Wild Wings - Teammate Card Fundraiser

Please take advantage of this awesome opportunity to raise $ for our Frogs.

Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10% of the cost of your order to the Frogs any time you visit between now and June 30.

All you have to do is to present your Teammate Card, which is attached along with detailed instructions.

So, support your Frogs by heading over to Wild Wings to catch a Phillies game, the NBA playoffs or the Stanley Cup Finals.

Volunteers Needed: Team Dinners/Celebrations and B-Meets

We still need a few volunteers for some of the team dinners/celebrations and we need a couple parents to help stage the Wed. night B Meets.

More specifically we need the following:

- 2 families for the American BBQ dinner

- 2 families for the TriCounty Pizza Party

- 2 families for the Labor Day Frog Farewell Party

No cooking is involved in any of these celebrations - all you have to do is to set up, refill/clean as you go and clean up at the end. Please email Kim Morris at kmorris@monroetwp.k12.nj.us if you're interested in volunteering for any of the celebrations or email me if you are interested in helping stage the B meets.
