Frogs, Families and Friends,

It was great to see everyone this past Wednesday at team signups.  We had a great turnout  and lots of enthusiasm for the upcoming season!

If you missed signups, don't worry.  Just complete the attached forms, include your payment and mail them to Team Treasurer, Donna Fondaro, at 29 Huntingdon Way, Sewell, NJ 08080.

Everyone who did come got a chance to meet our 2017 Coach, Ms. Jen Carrullo, as well as the assistant coaches.  As previously announced, we are thrilled to have Asst. Coaches Jimmy Perry and Nick Fondacaro back for another year.  Coach Jen has also hired Devon D'Andrea as the team's third assistant coach.  Most of you know Devon as having been part of the team as a swimmer since 2005. Devon also swam for GPAC, Jersey Wahoos and Williamstown High School, where she will graduate this June. Devon will attend Penn State University in the fall to study broadcast journalism.

TEAM SWAG:  the team apparel store is open for business!  Don't miss your chance to get you 2017 team wear at http://mbmsports.tuosystems.com/stores/greenwoodpark2

The online store closes on May 31 so orders will be delivered in time for our first meet.

Finally, I want to address a rumor that many people have heard over the winter/spring and it is that Lake Kandle is going to join the TriCounty Swimming Pool Association.  That is simply not true.  The league is trying to find a replacement team for Westwood which closed in 2016. The league invited a number of local, non-TriCounty swim clubs to submit a proposal for joining the league, but Lake Kandle was NOT one of the them. In selecting a new team, the league considers the impact a new club could have on the current members of the league.  In the case of Lake Kandle, its membership in TriCounty could have the potential to negatively impact the membership and financial well being of Greenwood Park, Whitman Square, Brookside and perhaps Wenonah.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.
