GP Swim: Big Week of Events - B. McHugh Fundraiser & 1st Meet!

Frogs, Families and Friends,

It's a very busy week with lots of team activities and many of the kids finishing up school.
The weeks ends with the Brendan McHugh fundraiser on Friday night and our first meet of the season on Saturday at Tavistock Hills.

THANK YOU to all those who volunteered to make all of this week's activities happen!

GENERAL REMINDERS:
- Please email Coach Elise at coachelisegp@gmail.com if you are going to miss any meets or for any swimming related issues.  
- Meet Reschedule: July 4th meet has been moved to Wed. July 1.  Please see updated team schedule, which is attached.
 
PAINT & SIP - LADIES NIGHT OUT:  TUESDAY - June 16 6:00pm
Only a few tickets remain!  First come, first serve.  Contact Lisa Masny at Lisaama2002@yahoo.com or 267-253-5970 if you want to attend.

PIZZA TEAM DINNER - PEP RALLY:  WEDNESDAY - June 17 6:30pm
1st team dinner of the season!  RSVP and volunteer to bring soda, salad, etc.at

BRENDAN McHUGH FUNDRAISER:  FRIDAY - June 19 6:00pm
Help support former Frog, and current US National Swim Team Member, Brendan McHugh on his quest for the 2015 Swimming World Championships and 2016 Olympics.   Beef and beer, music and more.  Tickets:  Adults-$35; Kids-$15.  See attachment flyer for details.

1st MEET OF THE SEASON at TAVISTOCK HILLS TIDAL WAVE:  SATURDAY - June 20 9:00am AWAY
We have had very close meets with Tavistock over the past several years so it should be a good meet. 
Tavistock also has one of the best snack bars in the league - you can usually get a pretty good breakfast there.
More importantly:
  • Coach Elise will be talking to swimmers about what they will be swimming during the week and will share swimmer event assignments as the week progresses.
  • New or newer parents - talk to or email Coach Elise if you have any questions about your swimmer's participation in the meet.
  • Swimmers: be sure to wear team suit and shirt.  Also, bring water/Gatorade/etc. and a folding chair.
  • Team caravan will meet at The Dump parking lot and we will DEPART at 7:30am.
  • If you do not travel with the caravan, please be at Tavistock by 8:00am.
  • We will gather as a team in the Tavistock parking lot and enter as a team. No swimmer should enter on their own.
