Frogs, Families and Friends,
Excited to say that our swim season is around the corner! I hope you are all as excited as the coaching staff. We are ready to make this season more memorable than the last (if that is even possible)! However, it is with great regret that I have to tell you that Haddontowne has stolen one of our coaches, Melissa Shore. She will be missed, but I'm happy to announce that former Frog Danielle (Dani) Dougherty will be joining the coaching staff this summer.
As I realize how busy your schedules are (especially with school still in session) I will do my best to make life a little easier for you. Summer swimming should entail no stress so attached are two documents. The first, a 2015 FAQs sheet (coaches edition) and a SUMMER CALENDAR listing practice times, team events (not including the extra activities we will be doing with specific age groups).
Three very important things:
1. If you are swimming with GPAC, SJAC, Wahoos or other club team this summer, I would like to know before May 23rd. Just email me so I know to not expect you at practice. Please list the dates you'll be missing GP meets for club meets. (This may only apply to a handful of older swimmers.) * Note for club swimmers - you are REQUIRED to stop by Friday morning practices in order to compete in Saturday dual meets. It is a chance for you to see what you're swimming and me knowing you'll be present Saturday.
2. June 2rd - Parents Meeting. 6:30 PM
I ask that ALL attend (especially since there will be a lot of discussion about role hosting Tri County Championships!). I will be going over the entire season, explaining how meets run, when the season ends for certain swimmers, what I expect of Frogs and families, and etc. This will also be a great time for you to ask me questions that you think other parents are concerned about as well.
3. Missing practices/meets/team events? Going on vacation? Have other obligations? START EMAILING ME DATES ASAP. I do not want surprises on the days of meets or days prior! We did awesome with this last year, let's make me aware early again!
