GP Swim: Week 2 and Beyond

Despite coming out on the losing end at Saturday's meet vs. Kingston Estates, we had a great meet with many good swims, including 23 swimmers who qualified individually for the Tri-County Championships.  It was also great to see many Frogs compete for the first time.  This week the season is in full swing with two meets and many other team activities.   Below, please find information on activities for this week and beyond. 

Week 2 Activities

Practice
Mon. June 24 (morning and night*)
-7:45am to 8:45am:  8 and unders/Tadpoles
-8:45am to 10am: 9/10 and 11/12
-10am to 11:30am: 13/14 and 15-18
-7pm to 8:30pm: 3/14 and 15-18 who missed earlier practices*

Tues. June 25 - Rest of Summer/Season (mornings)
-7:30am to 9:00am: 3/14 and 15-18
-9:00am to 10:15am: 9/10 and 11/12
-10:15am to 11:15am: 8 and unders

Team Pictures: Wed. June 26
Individual pictures will start at 9am and may be taken before or after practice
The Team Picture will be taken at 10:30am.  If you are part of an earlier practice, you will have stick around or come back to be part of the team picture.  Picture forms are attached.

B Meet @ Whitman Square Sea Lyons:  Wed. June 26 @ 6pm
Once again we will compete against our long-time friends/rivals.  
Swimmers - please report directly to Whitman Square no later than 5pm.

Taste of Philly Pep Rally/Dinner:  Fri. June 28 @ 6pm

A Meet @ Brookside Dolphins:  Sat. June 29 @ 9am
We will travel to Brookside for a meet against the Dolphins, who beat Haddon Glen 303 to 250 in Week 1.
We will meet at The Dump parking lot at 7:30am and travel as a team.

Return all forms to Daryl D'Angelo by Sat. June 29.  Shirts will also be sold at the meet on July 23.

Looking Forward

End-of-Year Swimmer Gift Forms:  Due July 1
At the end of every season, all Frogs receive a free gift from the team.  This year each swimmer will receive a hoody.  To ensure that we have the proper size for everyone, please complete the attached form and return it to Katie McAninley by July 1. 

TriCounty Championship Pre-Order T-Shirts:  Due July 10

The Apparel Store for the 2013 Tri-County Swimming Championships is now open at www.trico2013.com  All apparel pre-sales will be online  - there will be no paper orders.   This year's host, Deerbrook, expects to sell only a limited number of items at the meet, so order online through July 10^th for discounted prices and best selection! I will pick up all GP orders placed on August 2. 

Team Picnic:  Sat. July 13
One of the funnest activities of the year and a bargain at only $20/family!  In honor of our 40th anniversary, we want to invite former Frogs, families and friends back home to celebrate after our last home meet against Sunnybrook.  So, please pass along this message, and the attached registration form, to any former Frogs you may know.  The theme of the picnic is the 1970s, so starting planning your attire for the day.
