Frogs, Families and Friends,
On behalf of Coach Tony Lisa and our new Swim Team Chairman, Bill Nicholson, I would like to officially kick-off the start of the 2012 season of the Greenwood Park Frogs Swim Team!
2012 will be one of the most exciting years ever at Greenwood Park. Our new eight-lane pool, the only one of its kind in Tri-County, will soon be completed and ready for our upcoming season. A whole new era of GP swimming starts this year and you will be part of it.
This year is also special because we will be hosting the Peach Bowl (Gloucester County Swimming Championships) at GCIT. This is always one of the best meets of the year because it gives many of our kids a chance to compete against their friends from Twp. and with their peers from winter swimming. This will be a lot fun, but we will need help from all our Frog families to succeed. Some initial information is provided below.
Our first event of the year - team sign-ups - will be held on Wednesday April 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Cafeteria A of the Washington Twp. High School 11-12 Wing. Here are some the details:
DUES
Team dues are as follows and can be paid by cash/check:
1st Swimmer - $60
2nd Swimmer - $50
3rd Swimmer - $40
4th Swimmer - $30
5th Swimmer - Free
PEACH BOWL SPONSORS
Do you own a business? Work in a business? Have a friend who owns a business?
We will be asking each Frog family to sell at least one ad for the Peach Bowl program. It's great way to advertise and help our Frogs! Details will be provided at sign-ups.
TEAM SUITS & PERSONALIZED CAPS
Danzeisen & Quigley (D&Q) will be on hand to fit and sell suits to all team members. Details on our 2012 team suit, including costs will be distributed prior to sign-ups. GP will also have personalized team caps for sale: silicone - 2/$30; and latex - 2/$20.
SNACK BAR RIBBITS
GP Snack Bar Operator Mark Houck will be on hand to sell "Ribbits" once again. Ribbit dollars are equal to regular dollars and when used at the snack bar a portion of the proceeds go to the Frogs. So, if you're going spend money at the snack bar (we all do) then it make sense to get a benefit for the Frogs!
Thanks Mark?

The season will be here before you know it, so please mark your calendars for these other important activities and dates listed below.

Please remember that all Frogs must be members in good standing with all Greenwood Park Bells Lake 2012 membership dues paid by the club deadline in May to be eligible to participate on the team. This is a Tri-County Swim League rule, not a swim club rule.
I am looking forward to seeing and catching up with everyone (and in some cases meeting people for the first time) on April 18.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached on my cell phone at 267-474-0155.
